What Chiron in Taurus Means for You
We are living through an important moment in astrological history. Chiron has entered Taurus, and this is a transit worth slowing down for.
Chiron is a small celestial body that travels through our solar system, and in astrology, its energy and archetype live somewhere in every single one of our birth charts. To understand what this transit is asking of us, it helps to start with the myth.
Who Is Chiron? The Wounded Healer
In Greek mythology, Chiron was a centaur, half man and half horse, but unlike the other centaurs, he was wise, gentle, and deeply skilled. He became a teacher to some of the greatest heroes of his time, Achilles among them.
Then Chiron was wounded. He was struck by a poisoned arrow, accidentally, by Hercules. Because Chiron was immortal, he could not die from the wound. Instead, he lived with chronic, incurable pain.
Here is the part of the myth that matters most. Chiron did not let that suffering close him off. He used it to deepen his compassion and his wisdom, and he kept teaching and healing others even while he carried his own wound. That is the medicine he carries, the proof that pain does not have to end a person’s capacity to help. Eventually, Chiron made one final act of service. He traded his own immortality to free Prometheus, transforming his suffering into something that served someone else completely.
That is the whole arc of Chiron. A wound, carried honestly, that becomes wisdom.
How Chiron Shows Up in Your Birth Chart
In astrology, Chiron symbolizes our deepest emotional vulnerabilities, the pain and the wound that usually forms in childhood. Most often it grows out of a family dynamic, or out of someone we love very much, and it leaves us with the belief that we are somehow disconnected from a certain kind of energy.
Chiron moves through every sign of the zodiac, and it takes roughly seven years to move through each one. That means your birth year places you in a generation of people who carry a version of the same wound. And here is the part worth holding onto. Chiron’s wound does not stay a wound forever. Over time, it becomes wisdom. It becomes medicine. It becomes the very thing you end up using to help other people heal.
There is also a name for the moment this all comes to a head. Chiron takes about fifty years to complete its full orbit and return to the exact place it sat in your chart when you were born. Astrologers call that moment your Chiron return, and it tends to arrive right around age fifty. It is when the old wound rises back up, not to hurt you again, but to finally be met and healed with the wisdom you have gathered in the meantime. If you were born with Chiron in Taurus, this current transit is very likely your Chiron return, happening now, in real time.
Chiron in Taurus: The Signature
With Chiron in Taurus, the wound has a specific shape. It is a disconnection from Taurus energy itself.
Taurus is the first earth sign of the zodiac, and it is about being grounded and rooted in yourself. It is the energy of slow, of steady, of practical, of safe, of secure. It is a deep sense of self-love, self-worth, and self-knowing. So Chiron here represents a disconnection from exactly that, from feeling grounded, secure, and genuinely at home in yourself.
A few themes live inside that disconnection.
Money. Taurus rules the material realm, and money is really just an energetic exchange. This placement can bring up real questions about how we earn our resources and how we feel while we do it.
The body. Taurus rules the body, our vessel, our temple. People with strong Taurus energy need to move their bodies and feel embodied, to remember they are a spirit seated in a physical vessel rather than living entirely in the mind. This can show up as anything from a pull toward exercise and wellness to real imbalance, pain, or a feeling of being disconnected from your own body.
Self-worth. This might be the biggest one, and it is a wound for most of humanity, not just this generation. It is about having a strong connection to yourself, one that does not depend on external validation. It is about feeling rooted, solid, safe, and secure within yourself, simply because you exist.
Boundaries. Boundaries are really an extension of self-worth. We set them to protect healthy relationships and to protect our own self-love. Boundaries are just our values with a spine. A value you won’t protect isn’t really a value, it’s a preference you abandon the moment feelings change or something new comes our way. Boundaries are how you say “this is who I am” and actually mean it, because they decide what you’ll allow before the pressure hits, the mood of the day changes or temptation is high, so your character isn’t up for negotiation, ever.
Values. This is about knowing clearly what actually matters to you to live the life you want. Getting clear here lets you structure your life around what is genuinely yours, so it stays aligned instead of scattered every time feelings change. Feelings are what you want right now; values are who you want to be. One is like the weather, loud, fast, changing by the hour, and the other is the compass that doesn’t move no matter how hard the wind blows. Live by feelings and you get pointed somewhere new every time your mood shifts; live by values and your life stays yours instead of getting re-routed by whatever emotion happens to be loudest at that moment.
Pace and pleasure. Taurus asks you to slow down. It rules the body and, through the body, the senses, sight, smell, touch, hearing. Taurus wants you present enough to actually notice and enjoy the world around you. It wants you to make time for what you love, and to check in with yourself in ordinary moments. Am I hungry? Am I thirsty? What do I actually need right now?

Finding Your Own Chiron in Taurus
To understand how this transit is personal to you, start by looking at where you have Taurus in your chart. Do you have Taurus on your sun, moon, or rising? Those three placements sit closest to you, so a transit through Taurus will land the most personally there. But everyone has Taurus somewhere in their chart, so it is worth looking at what planet or asteroid lives in Taurus for you. That placement colors exactly how this wound and this medicine show up.
From there, look at the house Taurus falls in. The house tells you what area of life this disconnection, and eventually this healing, is most active in.
If your moon is in Taurus, this transit touches your emotional body. If it is your sun, it touches your core essence, the way you shine. If it is your rising, it touches how you show up in the world, your personality and your identity.
And if you do not have a personal placement in Taurus at all, you are not exempt. We are all moving through these lessons together right now, money, body, self-worth, boundaries, values. The chart just tells you which corner of your own life this is most likely to show up in.
Why This Matters Right Now
These are not abstract astrological ideas. They are basic human needs. We all need a healthy sense of self-worth to thrive. We all need real boundaries. We all need some real connection to our bodies. We all need to earn our resources and feel good about how we do it.
That is what makes this such a powerful transit to actually work with, not just read about. It is a real invitation to ask yourself honestly, how connected am I to this Taurus energy, in my body, my worth, my boundaries, my values?

And I am excited to share that we are bringing back our live workshop, Heal Your Chiron in Taurus, for a second time. The first one was held back in April, right before Chiron officially entered Taurus, and it was such a meaningful experience that we knew we had to offer it again now that the transit is fully underway.
This workshop runs a little over two hours. We move through the workbook together as a group and individually, working through exercises on your values, your relationship to self-worth, your connection to your body, and your life pillars, the areas of life that matter most to you and where you actually want to go from here. We close the workshop by writing a love letter to yourself, because if this transit is about anything, it is about self-love.
Chiron officially entered Taurus in June of this year, stayed all summer, and will retrograde back into Aries this September before making its final, long return to Taurus in April 2027, where it will stay for about seven years. That is a long time to work with this energy, and it deserves our attention now.
The workshop will be held on September 20th, 2026, and there are plenty of seats available. If you have Chiron in Taurus, this is built for you. And if you do not, but money, the body, self-worth, boundaries, or values feel like places you could use some real support, this workshop is for you too. It is open to everyone. We will close with an open Q&A, so bring your questions about your own chart, or about anything we cover together.
Save your seat for September 20th →
Thank you for reading. This is a powerful time to work with this energy, because you deserve it.
With love,
Josie Moon
Where Chiron in Taurus Shows Up in Your Chart (Even If You Don’t Have the Placement)
Chiron in Taurus doesn’t only touch those of us born with Chiron there natally. It touches all of us, depending on where Taurus itself falls in our chart.
Take my own placements as an example. My Taurus falls on my Moon and my North Node, which means this transit brings up the wounding, and the medicine, that Taurus carries: self-worth, deservingness, connection to your values, self-love, embodiment. Because it’s my Moon, I feel it move through my emotional landscape. And because it’s my North Node, I feel it in my destiny, in the direction I’m headed. The questions it keeps raising are simple but not easy: How connected am I to my own self-worth? What’s still holding me back from understanding what I deserve? Is the life I’m living actually aligned with my values?
If you want to know how this transit is showing up for you, the starting point is the same: find where Taurus lands in your own chart.
For me, that’s the 11th house. So this season has been moving through my community, my collaborations, my friendship circles. I see it most clearly in the work I do with astrology, and in every person I’ve been blessed to support as they empower themselves and deepen their self-discovery. The 11th house also holds your hopes and your dreams, and as some of you already know, Stanley and I got pregnant recently. That’s been one of the biggest hopes of our life together coming into form, right as this Chiron ingress reached my Moon. And the Moon, of course, is the feminine body, the fertility, the nurturing.
Find Taurus in Your Own Chart
If you don’t have Chiron in Taurus natally and you’re curious where this transit is landing for you, look for wherever Taurus sits in your chart.
1st house — This lives in your identity, in the way you show up in the world: self-love, worthiness, embodiment, deservingness, your values.
2nd house — This is the Taurus house itself, so it’s showing up close to home: your self-worth, your self-esteem, your values, your embodiment.
3rd house — This shapes your mindset around these themes. What do you actually believe about them?
4th house — This lives in your home and family, in how that foundation makes you feel about these questions.
5th house — This shows up in how you birth your creative projects, and in how you find pleasure and enjoyment.
6th house — This shows up in how you’re of service to others, and in your health, since Taurus governs the body. What’s asking to be noticed there?
7th house — This lives inside your committed partnerships, where these same questions of worth and deservingness play out with another person.
8th house — This touches deep transformation, merging with another, soulmate territory, and shared resources.
9th house — This shows up in how you travel, expand, and learn, in whatever stretches your consciousness further.
10th house — This lives in your career, asking whether the work you’re doing in the world actually aligns with your values.
11th house — Like mine, this shows up in your community, your hopes, your dreams, your collaborations.
12th house — This is the most private part of the chart, the part only you can access, because it’s the path home to yourself. It’s your intuition, your higher self, the stillness of meditation and solitude where these themes rise up from the subconscious.
Even without the natal placement, these themes are alive for all of us right now. They’ll keep asking us, gently and persistently, to look at what’s left of the wound and what still wants to be healed. And this invitation isn’t going anywhere for a while. It’s with us for the next seven years.
Not sure where to start? I made a free guide that walks you through finding your Chiron placement and what it’s asking you to heal — get the free guide here.
If you want a structured way to work through what’s surfacing for you, I built the Heal Your Chiron in Taurus Workbook for exactly this season. It’s $33, and it walks you through it step by step, wherever Taurus is showing up in your chart.
The Virgo South Node Eclipse: Releasing Perfectionism, Control & Self‑Doubt
Here’s to shedding what isn’t coming with us. Artwork by: Katherine Ryalls
South Node eclipses can feel heavy. They’re not always easy, but they are deeply meaningful. Think of them as cosmic detoxes: we are asked to release what is no longer aligned so we can move toward something freer, softer, and truer.
With the South Node in Virgo over the last 18 months, this eclipse is the culmination of a long process of seeing, feeling, and shedding the Virgo patterns that have been holding us back.
This isn’t a one-day event. It’s been building for a year and a half—and its effects will keep unfolding for months ahead.
What a South Node Eclipse Really Does
The South Node is about:
Old patterns
Karmic habits
What we overdo because it feels familiar and safe
Shadow traits that need to be seen, healed, and released
A South Node eclipse illuminates the shadow. It shines a bright, undeniable light on the parts of us that have been:
Getting in our way
Keeping us small
Running on autopilot in the background
This eclipse in Virgo is asking:
“What Virgo-style patterns are you ready to stop carrying?”
Not to shame or punish you—but to finally free up energy for the life you truly want.
Virgo: The Archetype of Sacred Order and Service
Virgo is an earth sign. Grounded, practical, and deeply concerned with how life functions.
At its best, Virgo is:
Organized & discerning – sorting, labeling, understanding what goes where
Detail-oriented – catching what others miss
Curious & informed – the question-asker, the data collector, the one who actually reads the instructions
Devoted to service – wanting to help, support, and be useful
Guardian of the 6th house – ruling:
Daily routines
Work and service
Wellness, food, and physical health
The rituals that keep our “engine” running well
If Leo season is picking fruit in the sun—joyful and expressive—Virgo season is coming home with all those baskets and saying:
“Okay, let’s sort this. What’s ripe? What needs to be preserved? What needs to be thrown out? What are we actually doing with all of this?”
Virgo energy keeps life from becoming chaos. It’s the part of us that truly cares enough to pay attention :)
The Shadow of Virgo: When Order Becomes a Cage
Over the last 18 months with the South Node in Virgo, the cosmos has been slowly revealing Virgo’s shadow side in our lives:
Perfectionism:
“I can’t launch this until it’s perfect.”
“I can’t have that conversation yet, I’m not ready.”
“I won’t show this project until every detail is flawless.”
The problem? That mythical “perfect moment” often never arrives. Life gets put on hold.
Control:
When we’re afraid to trust ourselves or life, we lean harder into Virgo:Over-planning
Micromanaging
Needing to control outcomes
This might look responsible on the surface, but underneath it’s often fear:
“If I control everything, nothing can hurt me.”Self-criticism & self-doubt:
Virgo sees what can be improved—that’s its gift. But when distorted, that gift turns inward as:“I’m not good enough.”
“I’m doing this wrong.”
“I’ll never get it right.”
The inner critic becomes less of a wise editor and more of a bully. Instead of refining your life, it paralyzes it.
Virgo vs Pisces: Learning to Trust the Flow
Every sign has an opposite that completes the story. For Virgo, that’s Pisces—the sign of trust, surrender, and spiritual flow.
When Virgo’s edges get too sharp—too rigid, too demanding—Pisces comes in like water to soften them.
Imagine:
Taking a harsh square edge and gently filing it into a circle- that’s what Pisces does. That’s what water does to rocks in the creek.
Allowing faith, intuition, and flow to sit next to structure and planning
This eclipse asks you to let Pisces whisper into Virgo’s ear:
“You don’t have to hold everything together alone. Some of this is safe to let go.”
We’re not abandoning Virgo’s gifts. We’re rounding the corners so that organization, discernment, and effort can coexist with ease, trust, and grace.
Where Has Virgo’s Shadow Been Showing Up for You?
This is the heart work of this eclipse.
Reflect on these questions:
Where are you a perfectionist?
In your work, your art, your home, your relationships, your body?Where do you delay your life because it’s “not perfect yet”?
The offer you haven’t made, the project you haven’t shared, the conversation you keep postponing.Where does self-doubt live in you?
In your career? Your creativity? Your ability to love or be loved? Your body? Your voice?
Now, imagine—for a moment—that self-doubt is gone.
Not pushed down. Not battled with. Simply… not present.
What would change?
What would you do this month if you trusted yourself just 10% more? 50% more?
What would you finally start, say, share, or release?
These are not hypothetical questions. This eclipse is inviting you to actually make those shifts.
My OwnPersonal Illustration: Perfectionism in the Mundane
Virgo energy doesn’t just show up in big life choices. It lives in tiny, everyday moments.
For me, it shows up here:
Getting irrationally irritated by maple syrup dripping down the bottle and onto the fridge shelf
Needing the toilet seat to be down so the bathroom feels clean and energetically “closed”
Wanting most objects in my home to be “just so”
A little bit of this is healthy. It keeps your life functional and comfortable. But the eclipse asks:
“At what point is this no longer supporting you—but actually stressing you out?”
Before this eclipse, it’s powerful to sort:
Which aspects of your standards and routines are supportive
Which are simply controlling, draining, or anxiety-driven
Because after this eclipse, some of those Virgo patterns won’t be coming with you.
The Eclipse as a Mourning & Extraction Process
South Node eclipses are not just releases—they’re also goodbyes.
We’re mourning an old version of ourselves.
We’re grieving the safety we once found in control, perfectionism, and hyper-vigilance.
We’re acknowledging: “This way of being has protected me. And now, it’s time to let parts of it go.”
For some, this can even show up physically, in the body. Check this out! I have a client whose experience is this:
As an example of how literal this eclipse can be:
They discovered something in their body that has been silently harming their wellness—and they have it scheduled to be removed one day after the eclipse. That’s Virgo (health, the body, daily functioning) meeting a South Node eclipse (extraction, release, removal of what harms).
This is the energetic tone:
What is being pulled out of your life, routines, or body so that your system can finally run cleaner and freer?
Timing: Eclipses Unfold Over Time
Even though the eclipse has an exact date, its influence is not limited to that single day.
You can feel an eclipse for about 6 months
The 2-week window around the eclipse is often the most intense
Eclipses act like fast-forward buttons in our life:
Sudden decisions
Rapid changes
Events that shift your trajectory quickly
It’s life saying:
“You were going to get here eventually. Let’s get the show on the road.”
How to Work With This Virgo South Node Eclipse
Before the dust settles, give yourself some space to consciously participate:
Look at where Virgo sits in your chart
Which house is ruled by Virgo?
That area of life is where you’re doing the deepest release.
Name the Virgo shadows you’re ready to let go of
Perfectionism in a specific area
Over-controlling your routines, diet, body, or schedule
Constant self-criticism and never feeling “enough”
Invite Pisces in
Practice trusting your timing, your intuition, and life itself
Allow something to be 80% done and still share it
Choose flow over control in one small, specific way this week
Ritualize the release
Journal about what you’re done carrying
Write down your core self-doubts and burn the paper (safely)
Meditate on the version of you who no longer needs perfection to feel worthy
Final Thoughts
This Virgo South Node eclipse is not here to punish your inner Virgo. It’s here to purify it.
To keep Virgo’s devotion, care, and intelligence
To release Virgo’s fear, rigidity, and self-attack
You are allowed to be:
Thorough and imperfect
Caring and relaxed
Discerning and trusting
As this eclipse unfolds, keep asking yourself:
“Where am I ready to stop trying to be perfect, and start allowing myself to simply be human?”
That is where the medicine of this eclipse lives.
YOU ARE THE MEDICINE.
With love and courage,
Josie Moon
Astro forecast Feb. 22-28
Passionflower is an herb of Pisces: tending to the nervous system while encouraging deep rest to recharge.
Weekly Astrology Forecast
The Week of February 22
This week brings a beautiful mix of sweetness, introspection, and powerful change. We begin with a lush, heart-opening transit, move into a deeply reflective Mercury retrograde in Pisces, and then navigate some more intense but ultimately liberating energies toward the end of the week.
Here is how the week unfolds and how you can work with it.
Sunday: A Cosmic Love Potion
Venus trine Jupiter – Extra Blessings in Love and Abundance
We start the week with a gorgeous signature in the sky as:
Venus (love, relationships, pleasure, beauty, values)
Forms a trine to Jupiter (expansion, abundance, blessings)
A trine is a harmonious aspect. It creates an effortless flow of energy between planets, and this one is especially sweet.
You might notice:
An extra dose of love in the air
Positive news or fortunate opportunities
Ease and harmony in relationships
A boost in self-worth, magnetism, and feeling “rich” in some way
This energy is:
Lush
Generous
Supportive of manifestation
You can think of it as a love potion. Hearts are more open, and it is a powerful time to:
Magnetize what you desire
Receive support, gifts, and blessings
Lean into gratitude, romance, and beauty
This Venus–Jupiter trine is exact on February 22, but you will likely feel it around that day as well.
All Week: Mercury Retrograde in Pisces
Review, Realign, and Reimagine
We then move into a week colored by Mercury retrograde in Pisces.
Mercury rules communication, thought, planning, technology, and travel
Retrograde phases are times to:
Review
Realign
Revisit
Reorganize
Rethink and re-feel
It is like the universe giving us a chance to go back and look at something we may have missed, especially a lesson we were meant to learn.
Focus: The Pisces Part of Your Chart
This Mercury retrograde is:
In the sign of Pisces
Around 22 degrees of Pisces
If you know your chart, look at:
Where you have 22 degrees of Pisces
Which house this falls in
That house (or area of life) is where you will:
Revisit themes
Review old conversations, ideas, or dreams
Revise plans
Realign with your intuition and inner truth
Mainstream Mercury Retrograde themes:
Yes, Mercury retrograde can bring:
Miscommunications
Delays in travel
Plans not going as expected
Tech glitches
But it is also a powerful invitation to:
Slow down
Pause before speaking or acting
Reconnect with your inner wisdom
Because this retrograde is in Pisces, the energy is:
Mystical
Intuitive
Emotional
Dreamy
Pisces asks us to:
Be rather than do
Feel rather than force
Trust rather than control
Any time we resist Pisces energy ( I have learned from experience), it tends to feel harder. For example:
If the Moon or a transit is in Pisces and you are feeling dreamy or emotional, but you push yourself to be hyper-productive instead, it can feel like swimming upstream.
Pisces is:
Feminine
Softening
Romantic and imaginative
Like water: flowing, yielding, trusting
This Mercury retrograde in Pisces is an invitation to:
Be gentle with yourself
Listen to your dreams and intuition
Revisit creative projects
Reflect instead of reacting
This energy is especially activated starting Thursday, but Mercury will spend several weeks in this Piscean retrograde, so this theme carries across the week and beyond.
Friday: Volatility and Awakening
Mars Square Uranus + Sun Conjunct the North Node
Friday brings more intense, catalytic energy.
Mars square Uranus: Channel the Lightning!
We have:
Mars (action, drive, confrontation, our inner warrior)
Square Uranus (the Great Awakener, sudden change, liberation, electricity)
A square creates tension:
One planet wants one thing
The other planet wants another
They do not naturally agree, but they must find a way to coexist
This can feel:
Awkward or uncomfortable
Restless
Volatile or explosive if the energy is not consciously directed
Possible expressions:
Sudden shifts or disruptions
Feeling rebellious or fed up
Outbursts of anger or frustration
Unexpected changes that push you into a new path
The invitation is to channel this energy:
Make a brave change you have been putting off
Take aligned, courageous action
Break a limiting pattern
Rearrange something in your life that has felt stuck
Remember:
Uranus is like a lightning bolt
Uranus is electricity, shaking things up
Uranus ultimately serves us by:
Stripping away what is no longer aligned
Course-correcting us
Initiating new patterns and directions
It may not feel comfortable in the moment, but it is often exactly what we need in the bigger picture.
Sun Conjunct the North Node in Pisces: Guided Toward Your True Path
Also on Friday, we have:
The Sun (our conscious self, identity, what we are aware of)
Conjunct the North Node (our soul’s path forward, destiny, growth edge)
In Pisces (but not for much longer, as the Nodes are preparing to shift)
We are in:
Pisces season
Pisces Mercury retrograde
A time when Piscean energy is very alive and active
The Sun conjunct the North Node in Pisces highlights:
Your true path
Your spiritual growth
Your capacity to trust the unseen
The ways in which your sensitivity and intuition are actually guiding you forward
On this day, pay attention to:
Little synchronicities
Invitations
Conversations that feel meaningful
Opportunities that feel like gentle nudges from the universe
These may be the universe whispering:
This way, please
Look here
Consider this path
This aspect weaves together:
The intensity of Mars square Uranus
With the softness and spiritual guidance of the Sun–North Node in Pisces
Even if things feel tumultuous, there is a deeper thread of alignment pulling you toward your highest path!
Saturday: Sweet Words and Creative Flow
Mercury Conjunct Venus in Pisces
We close the week on a beautiful note with:
Mercury (communication, thoughts, ideas)
Conjunct Venus (love, relationships, beauty, what we value)
In Pisces
Venus is exalted in Pisces:
She loves to be here
She is romantic, imaginative, dreamy, and compassionate
She is having a very good time in this sign
When Mercury joins Venus in Pisces:
Communication softens
Words are more poetic, heartfelt, and inspired
It is easier to express emotions and tenderness
This energy is perfect for:
Having a heartfelt conversation
Talking gently about something that has been bothering you
Letting your feelings flow through words
Writing, journaling, poetry, songwriting
Painting, creating, or finishing an artistic project
Any activity that helps you feel immersed in your creative, soulful energy
This transit supports:
Emotional honesty
Romantic and spiritual connection
Inspired, compassionate communication
HERBS to SUPPORT yOU
Piscean herbs: those that soothe, relax, and open intuition
-lavender: soothe & perk
-mugwort: intuition & feminine energy
-milky oats: nervous system nourishment
-passion flower: calming & sleep support
This week is a blend of sweetness, deep introspection, and bold awakening. Let it open your heart, sharpen your intuition, and move you closer to the life that truly resonates with your soul.
Love,
Josie Moon
